Thought - studied benefits of fasting are not contradictory with zero carb healing theory(not a pro fasting post)

Im new here and haven’t eaten Zero Carb yet, but have lots of experience on Keto and fasting and am intrigued by the carnivore way. I’ve done extensive research on fasting, both intermittent and extended and the benefits therein, and have experienced a lot of them myself. But I’ve been reading more on ZC and am wondering, maybe, if the benefits people derive from fasting aren’t because they aren’t eating at all, but because they aren’t eating anything that isn’t meat, thus giving their digestive and immune systems a short break from all the things they weren’t meant to handle, but that eating ZC would serve all of the same benefits without the need to deprive in an abundant world. I’d really like to give this a go and being able to reconcile the scientific studies I’ve read with this philosophy would be exciting to me. Any opinions on this perspective?
