Why I think this WOE works! (At least for me)

Been carnivore for over two month, and I got to say, it feels f***ing amazing! I was on a low fat high carb diet before, and relied heavily on calorie count. CICO shouldn’t be unfamiliar for many on a standard diet before, and I still do believe in CICO, BUT!!!!! Not the BS number that a website spews at you when you enter your age height activity level etc. We were told to start from that given TDEE number and adjust accordingly until we find the RIGHT maintenance calorie (this usually takes months to reach a decent approximation) and it doesn’t consider our genetics nor good/bad calories. Even we as ourselves don’t know how much calories we need, but there is one thing that knows what your body need the most, it’s [drumroll please] your own body! Hunger is the best indication if your body needs more calories or not, and make it clear that hunger and cravings are not the same. On ZC, we eat when we want and until satiety, making our weight “normalize” (similar to reaching equilibrium) and we could use the principle of CICO, to gain/lose weight, so either eat past satiety or stop eating before satiety. That’s why I still think CICO’s principle is valid, just without numbers. Trust your body, your body would do all the calculations on what it needs and you just need to feed it with nutrient dense foods. The other benefit is that you don’t have to fiddle faddle with calories for months and still have the cravings for carb.Hunger =/= Craving Need =/= WantTL;DR Your body know more about your body than anything else, don’t rely on numbers, but rely on hunger signals. If you have a goal, adjust the amount accordingly to your goals.
