Has anyone watched the documentary The Evolution of Us, on Netflix?

I just finished watching this documentary and it was quite interesting. They talked about how our bodies evolved to make us efficient hunters. They started to lose me though when they began talking about how when we started to develop enzymes that allowed us to digest starches, that this was the point our brains started to grow because they required so much glucose. Before we had these enzymes our bodies apparently could not digest starches so our brains didn’t grow. Once we developed amylase, then we could digest the starches from tubers which allowed or brains to grow. Thoughts on this?
