Hormesis

Watched an interesting video last night about hormesis and treating plants not as a fuel source, but as occasional medicine (Like small doses a couple times a week).How do you guys feel about that? I mean, peppers, turmeric, berries. All of these of course have toxins, like any other plant, but they also have beneficial phytonutrients. And perhaps, like working out, a small dose of stress from the plant defenses may be of some benefit due to hormesis?Any thoughts on this?
